It takes a village to make ZCHS Bands happen for our performers! We love it when caregivers and engaged community members offer their time, energy, and talents to support. The following are the main ways you can serve the amazing ZCHS Bands program members so they can achieve their highest potential.

Pit Crew

This group loads, unloads, and moves all the equipment and props necessary for our performers to compete at high levels. Pit Crew volunteers may support one aspect of the day or attend the entire day.

Box Parent

Chaperones

This group maintains all uniforms and racks, and supports members as they get into and out of uniform. Box Parents act like every performer’s parent! They do hair, have an endless supply of deodorant, ice packs, snacks, and socks, and offer encouragement and support whenever needed so our members perform their best.

Chaperones ride the bus to contests and competitions. They support with medical and safety supplies, encouragement, and snacks so members perform their best.

ZBB Board Activities

This group organizes and provides food and comfort to performers and coordinates with hosting for special events.

We have large box trucks, trailers, and even a semi-trailer we need to get to every marching arts performance. We love volunteers who have this skill set!

You do not need to be a board member to support the work of the board! In fact, we LOVE when non-board members come to meetings to learn more and get involved. In fact, this is the best way to create sustainable knowledge and expertise in our board because, more than likely, non-board members will eventually become board members. We need help with fundraising and special events, especially.
